This promotional short has the same title as the feature film it advertises, _The Shoes of the Fisherman (1968/I)_ (qv). 'Michael Anderson (I)' (qv), the film's director, explains his creative vision for the film, and 'Morris L. West' (qv), the author of the novel upon which the film is based, tells why viewers will find the questions raised in the story relevant to the times.
